Experience: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience plus 2+ years of B2B sales experience.
Salary: Base + Commission, Expenses & Benefits, 80-100K OTE

Job Description: The Business Development Specialist calls on and visits prospective clients to build relationships and discover business and technology needs and determine if they are a fit for our fixed price, managed IT service offerings. The successful candidate will have demonstrated “hunting” skills in finding and developing new opportunities as well as managing a pipeline, developing relationships, and closing new business.

You will be responsible for finding new leads through a variety of tactics including cold calling and networking; consistently updating lead data in our CRM software; engaging prospects to discover, define, and document their pressing business needs; working internally with technical resources to put together solutions and proposals; then presenting the appropriate IT solutions to help businesses address their needs and ultimately closing new business.

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:

  • Should be able to rank highly on monthly basis by hitting bullseyes on our dart board
  • Enjoys meeting new people and engaging in meaningful conversation
  • Exhibits inquisitive behavior and desire to learn from executives and business owners
  • Loves technology, but loves engaging people more

Other important things that would help you excel in this position:

  • Individual with a basic understanding business technology
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and high energy level
  • Results driven, self‐starter with motivation to constantly improve and meet long and short term goals

The REALLY important stuff:

  • 2+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably solution‐based selling
  • Commitment to effective management of the sales process
  • Book of Business Contacts preferred, but not required
  • Experience selling in Northern Virginia
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization skills
